Artist Statement
I use evocative forms, gesture, and color to create patterns, evoke memories, and
conjure emotion. The compositions evolve through a succession of layers, changes, and
spontaneous movements until a final solution is reached. I play with color and gestures to
explore abstract ideas of humor, beauty, and allusions to patterns in the natural world.
